SAMH Creative Services began in 2011, offering arts programmes on a monthly basis, and subsequently expanded to include sports and music. Here is a relaxed and supportive environment, the art of making friends is simple. Our activities help people bond, without bias or concern if anyone has a mental health condition. Many of our activities are open to the public to encourage awareness and reduce stigma for persons with mental illness.

Role Overview

The role supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of mental health programmes and projects aimed at promoting recovery and well-being for diverse target groups. It involves integrating clinical and therapeutic frameworks into programme design, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering collaboration across internal teams, volunteers, and external partners to achieve organizational goals.

Core responsibilities :

1. Assist in daily operations, administrative duties, and programme coordination across multiple centres.

2. Plan, implement, and evaluate programmes, projects, and events based on clinical and therapeutic principles.

3. Participate actively in team discussions and client management processes.

4. Coordinate and guide volunteers to deliver meaningful programme activities aligned with organizational and client goals.

5. Support research, data collection, and reporting for programme evaluation and improvement.

6. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance community outreach.

7. Collaborate with other departments and aid in reviewing processes to improve service quality and efficiency.

8. Contribute to communication, publicity, and media initiatives for organisational programmes.

Ensure art rooms and client artworks are well-maintained, safe, and conducive for therapeutic use.

Requirements:
  1. Degree in fine arts and design, music, or related fields
  2. 2-3 years in teaching/community art-based work experience/arts and healthcare experience, including internship or contract work experiences that have been substantial.

5. Detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks

6. Basic design and publicity skills; proficient in Microsoft Office/Adobe/Canva

7. Able to guide volunteers and support cross-departmental activities.

8. Proficient in English (spoken and written); knowledge of other languages/dialects is an advantage.
