Job description
Programme Coordinator (Department of Sarcoma, Peritoneal and Rare Tumours)

The Programme Coordinator will support the implementation and coordination of a research programme focused on advanced care planning, patient education/support/counselling, screening for palliative and functional needs, and coaching interventions with patients and family carers.

Programme Implementation & Support
  1. Assist in the preparations and setup of the programme/framework
  2. Screen referrals for program eligibility and engage eligible patients to enroll into the programme
  3. Act as point of contact for participants, addressing queries and ensuring smooth navigation through the programme
  4. Patient and caregiver education & coaching
Data Analysis & Reporting
  1. Data collection – Support recruitment of participants, obtain informed consent, and administer study questionnaires or interviews.
  2. Support data entry, database maintenance, and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of collected data
  3. Data synthesis – analysis of collected data
Research
  1. Assist with preparations of study materials, IRB submissions, and grant support
  2. Posters/Conferences/Manuscripts support
  3. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by identifying workflow gaps and developing workflows and implementing process improvements
Other Duties / Activities

Any other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Nursing, Counselling or related discipline
  • Proficient computer knowledge (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Added advantage with relevant/related experience in healthcare sector
  • Independent with good initiatives, able to work independently and interactively in a team setting, with excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous and organised
  • Passionate about clinical and health service research to bring about positive impact to patients with advanced cancers
  • Learns fast and good team player
