Job description

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of migrant workers? We are seeking a Programme Coordinator to lead and manage impactful initiatives that support migrant communities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Management and execution of various migrant worker initiatives under the Community Legal Services aimed at supporting migrant workers. This includes:

  • Coordinating outreach programs;
  • Facilitating legal clinics (ad hoc and scheduled);
  • Manning community law centres centred on assisting migrant workers;
  • Managing staff reports/officers who may be designated to assist in the administration of the initiatives;
  • Assisting with representation applications from migrant workers; and
  • Fostering collaborative efforts with embassies and partner organizations.

2. Management of operations for legal assistance clinics/community law centres for the migrant worker population.

3. Assistance with the curation and development of materials for law awareness content including training modules, legal education initiatives, and various marketing collaterals like flyers, brochures, and website content.

4. Ensuring efficient operation of all initiatives, involving:

  • The consistent monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Workflow optimization and the provision of staff training to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Stakeholder engagement, involving applicants, partners, volunteers, donors, embassies and other service users.

5. Contribute to the design and implementation of frameworks to assess impact of legal programs, policies and initiatives.

6. Building and maintaining strong interdepartmental relationships, fostering a culture of collaboration and support.

7. Contribute to development efforts by collecting impactful stories, aiding in promotional activities, securing grants, organizing fundraising events, and maintaining adherence to funding agreements.

8. Provide secretarial and administrative assistance to the Migrant Workers Legal Assistance Committee, Migrant Workers Group, Content Management Committee, and any other teams or committees associated with the initiatives. Responsibilities include minute-taking, actioning workplans, following up on next-steps and ensuring adherence to the budget.

Requirements
  1. Degree in social work, social sciences, public administration, law or a related discipline.
  2. At least 5 years’ experience working with migrants or vulnerable groups.
  3. Program management experience, with proven track record of managing projects or programs, particularly in social services.
  4. Experience in working with non-profit organizations, humanitarian organizations, or government bodies focusing on migrant support programs.
  5. Strong skillsets in community engagement, specifically working closely with migrant communities, employers, and local organizations.
  6. Familiarity with data management systems for tracking program outcomes and reporting.
  7. Ability to use technology, social media and digital platforms for communication, program administration, and data collection.
  8. Strong leadership and management skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
  10. Passion for pro bono and community work, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of migrant workers.
