Programme Assistant [Up to $4,000 | 12-month contract]

Are you passionate about community engagement and making a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable seniors? We’re hiring a Programme Assistant to support the scaling of specialized initiatives aimed at promoting physical activity and well‑being among vulnerable communities, designed to combat social isolation and promote the well‑being of seniors living in rental housing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with key stakeholders and contribute to the success of impactful social programmes.

Nearest MRT Station: Stadium MRT Station
Contract: 12 months
Salary: Up to SGD 4,000 / month (final offer dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of various initiatives aimed at improving the well‑being of vulnerable individuals.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders in relevant sectors to expand the programme's outreach and impact.
  • Develop comprehensive measurement frameworks and indicators to assess programme effectiveness and provide evidence‑based reporting.
  • Oversee procurement activities within approved budgets, ensuring compliance with government guidelines and timelines.
  • Evaluate suppliers and manage vendor relationships, ensuring that procurement processes meet regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Finance and Procurement to ensure sufficient funding availability and to uphold proper procurement practices.

Specific Requirements

  • Education: Tertiary qualifications in Sport Science & Management, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field are advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in organising and implementing programmes and outreach initiatives, preferably to vulnerable populations (e.g., children & youth, persons with disabilities, seniors). Sports experience is not required.
  • Skills:
    • Experience in programme design, monitoring, and evaluation.
    • Strong understanding of the Singapore sporting ecosystem.
    • Familiarity with the social service sector is an advantage.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders effectively.
    • Strong organisational, project management, and administrative skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
