The South Asian Studies Programme (SASP), a constituent unit of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, at the National University of Singapore, invites applications for a tenured faculty position, at the Professor or Associate Professor rank, in the broad field of South Asian Humanities and Social Sciences. Upon selection, the candidate will also be expected to assume the position of Head of the South Asian Studies Programme.

The South Asian Studies Programme (SASP) at NUS is multi-disciplinary in its research and teaching (at undergraduate and graduate levels) and is home to a vibrant community of research students. For this professorial appointment, SASP seeks an accomplished scholar with research focused on South Asia through any one or more of the following fields: History, Sociology, Anthropology, Geography, Environmental Humanities, Political Science, International Relations or Literature. This is an opportunity to join and lead a successful programme in an institution committed to supporting excellence and creativity across and between the humanities and social sciences.
