Job summary

A leading offshore solutions provider in Singapore seeks an experienced professional to supervise safety, personnel, and operational aspects of production activities. The ideal candidate should possess over 8 years of experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, with a strong background in hydrocarbon processing and utility systems. Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years' experience is expected.
  • Previous experience in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas area is expected.

  • Previous experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing and utility systems is expected.
  • Previous experience on Permit to work supervision, isolations system, and risk assessments is required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise safety, personnel, and operational aspects of production activities.
  • Monitor and optimize process plant operations and equipment.
  • Contribute to annual budget planning for the unit.
  • Be part of the Emergency Response Team and participate in trainings.
  • Support leaderships in interfacing with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage Permit to Work systems and ensure compliance.
  • Participate in audits and inspections to maintain legal compliance.
  • Contribute to performance improvement initiatives for the fleet.
  • Oversee technical support requests and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Manage people development and performance evaluations on board.
  • Control stocks of materials and spare parts for Production activities.
  • React to any emergencies related to production or safety systems.
  • Supervise third-party quality and compliance with procedures.
Job description
Job Description:
  • Responsible for the efficient and effective supervision of safety ,personnel, and operational aspects of production activities for the assigned unit, in compliance with MODEC procedures, national and international regulations and standards, thus ensuring the unit's availability, safe operation and the production and revenue target achievement, contributing to the business continuity and its growth.
  • Supervise, follow up and participate in the execution of activities developed by Production department, including operational routines, monitoring, controlling and operational optimization of the process plant, sampling and chemical analyses, start/stop and isolations of equipment, commissioning/decommissioning and operational alignments/maneuvers, in order to ensure that the production systems of the platform are operated according to the project and its operating philosophy.
  • Contribute to the unit's annual budget planning (expenses and investments), by participating of the corporate planning, providing information about resources, replacements, services and materials needs and other expenses used in its activities, liaising with Superintendents and Technicians to ensure accurate information.
  • Contribute to an effective response to emergencies on board by being part of the Emergency Response Team, participating in all trainings, simulations and acting properly in a real situation, in accordance with MODEC's procedures, guidelines, as well as national and international regulations and best practices.
  • Support the offshore and onshore leaderships in the interface and contact with the client, authorities and internal stakeholders by providing faithful information regarding operation's routine, when requested by Production Superintendent.
  • Contribute to the MODEC's Permit to Work management systems' implementation, by acting as originator of PTWs and Perform Authority for Production works, ensuring the correct isolation of equipment and machinery, guaranteeing all Production employees and vendors working on Production activities are properly trained and certified, in accordance with MODEC procedures, and attending, when requested, internal or external audits.
  • Act proactively to safeguarding MODEC from noncompliance to legal/regulatory requirements by ensuring MODEC's procedures, management systems, internal and external regulations, national and international standards are followed by both Production core crew and 3rd parties on board, participating in audits and inspections in the unit, developing and ensuring the implementation of action plans when required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of MdB fleet performance by participating on, when requested, RCAs, investigations of NOls/NODs, HAZID/HAZOPs, following up or acting upon CAPAs, sharing lessons learned and promoting a culture of continuous seek for performance and integrity enhancement opportunities.
  • Guarantee the proper use of Technical Support departments, by ensuring that technical queries are properly identified, recorded in the system and always directed to Onshore departments for review/study, promoting a culture adherent to the company's systems.
  • Contribute to people management on board by displaying fair leadership, effective communication, providing performance evaluation, competence assessment, performing mentoring, coaching, training and career guidance meetings and feedbacks, periodically and under demand, implementing a culture of knowledge sharing, thus promoting the development of all Production team.
  • Control stocks of spare parts, consumables, tools, lubricating oils and chemicals related to Production department by requesting the necessary materials for the team's activities in a timely and optimized way.
  • Communicate to the Production Supt all production or safety systems' emergency, by providing accurate and relevant information immediately, request technical advice as necessary and prepare, follow up and close out any necessary vendor assistance on board for the Production department, in liaison with relevant leaderships.
  • Supervise the register of inhibitions in the production and safety / emergency systems of the platform by complying with the current procedures.
  • Ensure the quality of Production works performed by vendors, by supervising the execution of the jobs, providing the proper condition to execute the activities, ensuring all 3rd party employees are properly trained, certified and acquainted with MODEC's procedures and standards.
