Job description
Job Descriptions:
  • Production Scheduling, develop and manage the sheet metal production schedule using the Smart System, covering processes from laser cutting → press brake → welding → painting. Coordinate sequence according to Production Control’s schedule.
  • Special Options Verification. Review the Fabrication Schedule and utilize the MOS system to verify all titles and configurations of special option parts for sheet metal.
  • Custom Side Orders. Process ad-hoc orders from Production Control by checking drawings, quotations, and lead times before initiating fabrication.
  • Machine Specifications Check. Use AS400 system to review specifications of machine units for sheet metal production, including both standard and option parts marked “9E”.
  • Material Procurement. Identify materials needed and submit formal requests to the Purchasing Department for ordering.
  • Laser Cutting Preparation. Confirm material readiness and sheet metal schedule. Provide production data to the Laser EMC Controller; ensure specialists follow scheduled plans for laser cutting.
  • Drawing & Programming. Review component drawings, develop flat layouts, set dimensions for press brake operations, and generate programs for the laser machines.
  • Black Oxide Treatment. Identify parts requiring black oxide finishing. Prepare a list of items and quantities; coordinate with Purchasing to arrange collection and processing with treatment partners.
  • Consumables Procurement. Compile a list of required consumables requested by FAB production. Review pricing via Excel, then submit to Management for approval.
  • Engineering Change Notices (ECOs). Monitor D&D Mechanical ECO updates regarding machine sheet metal changes. Inform relevant parties via email.
  • Special Requests & Modifications. Coordinate with D&D team for custom fabrication or part modifications. Review and revise drawings, update Smart System entries, and manage fabrication process accordingly.
  • Powder Coating Inventory. Monitor powder stock levels; trigger a purchase request once inventory drops below 15 boxes.
  • Supplier Data Management. Review EDI, Purchase Orders, and sub-part data from suppliers. Update production schedules and log estimated completion dates.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering field is preferred
  • Relevant experience in sheet metal, laser cutting, CNC assembly processes or quality control are advantageous
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supervisory role in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
  • Hands‑on experience with sheet metal or fabrication and mechanical assembly techniques
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawing, blueprints and instructions
  • Strong understanding of 5S and HSE knowledge
  • Able to work effectively in a fast and ever‑changing stressful environment
  • Maintain good Quality standards, 5S and safety discipline
  • Able to use Microsoft office (Excel, Words, Powerpoint and Outlook)
