Job summary

A leading contact lens manufacturer in Singapore seeks a Planner to ensure smooth operations in production scheduling and inventory management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overall production planning, monitor progress, and work with teams to maximize productivity. A proactive approach, proficiency in Excel, and over 3 years of experience in mass production are essential. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in production planning and scheduling.
  • Experience in a high volume mass production environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 is an added advantage.

Menicon is a contact lens specialist embracing precision craftsmanship to see life in detail. Join our family in Singapore, the first manufacturing facility outside Japan for daily disposable contact lens and a base for developing technologies and products with advanced, value-added features.

We are looking for a Planner who plays a key role in ensuring smooth manufacture operations in production scheduling, order fulfilment, and inventory management to maximize productivity and yield.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overall production planning, coordination, scheduling, and dispatching for the manufacturing of moulds, SFG, and FG.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines and production targets.
  • Work closely with cross-departmental teams to maximize productivity and yield.
  • Analyze trends and data to anticipate future challenges and proactively make adjustments to avoid delays.
  • Oversee SFG replenishment based on the reorder point policy for each product type, selecting the optimum lot size to minimize stock levels and reduce obsolescence.
  • Participate in the companys digital transformation journey to implement production planning and scheduling software and automate processes.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of proven experience in production planning and scheduling, in high volume mass production environment.
  • Well-versed in production planning using Excel.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and proactive approach to meeting deadlines and solving problems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 is and added advantage.
