A leading manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in Precision Engineering. You will develop production schedules, lead a production team, and implement quality assurance measures. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience and expertise in lean manufacturing. Strong leadership and technical proficiency are essential for optimizing production processes in a fast-paced environment.

Develop production schedules: Create and manage schedules to meet customer demands efficiently and minimize downtime.
Lead a production team: Guide, train, and motivate your team to foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Ensure quality assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to meet strict engineering standards and customer specifications.
Optimize processes: Identify and implement improvements using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Manage resources: Oversee the allocation and maintenance of machinery, tools, and materials to ensure optimal production efficiency.
Maintain safety compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Control budgets and costs: Manage production budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
Collaborate cross‑functionally: Work with engineering, quality, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations and timely product delivery.
Prepare reports: Present regular reports on production performance, KPIs, and improvement initiatives.
A degree in engineering: A background in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is essential for understanding and implementing advanced manufacturing processes.
5+ years of experience: Proven experience in production management within the Precision Engineering sector is required to lead and optimize manufacturing operations.
Lean manufacturing expertise: Experience with implementing lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives is crucial for driving efficiency and reducing waste.
Technical proficiency: Strong understanding of CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and advanced manufacturing technologies is necessary to manage and improve production processes.
Leadership skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are needed to motivate and guide your team effectively.
ERP and planning software: Experience with ERP systems and production planning software is essential for managing production schedules and resources efficiently.
Analytical mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to identify and address production challenges.
Attention to detail: A commitment to quality and attention to detail is vital for ensuring products meet high standards.
Adaptability: The ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands is important for success in this role.
