Job Description:
The Production Manager (Construction) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all site production activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role involves managing manpower, materials, and equipment effectively while liaising with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to achieve smooth and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily construction activities to ensure timely project completion.
- Supervise site supervisors, foremen, and workers to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
- Monitor progress, manpower allocation, and material usage to optimize efficiency.
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Procurement teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality procedures, and company policies at all times.
- Review project drawings and specifications to plan work sequences and identify technical or resource requirements.
- Manage subcontractors’ performance and ensure alignment with project timelines and standards.
- Conduct site inspections and progress meetings to resolve any technical or operational issues.
- Prepare progress reports, work schedules, and productivity analysis for management review.
- Identify potential risks or delays and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance and cost control.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction site management or production supervision.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Familiarity with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) will be an advantage.
- Able to work independently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Possess good understanding of safety and quality management systems.
- Preferably with experience in marine, building, or infrastructure projects (depending on company sector)
