Summary

Main responsibility is to ensure smooth and efficient production by managing resources, tracking production performance, and improving processes to increase productivity and reduce waste. They focus on continuous improvement, applying lean manufacturing principles, and creating a culture of ongoing improvement within the team. They also ensure the production team has the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to perform their jobs well.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the department's budget and staffing levels.
  • Ensure workplace safety and health within the department.
  • Lead and manage the reduction and closure of ECRs.
  • Ensure the department adheres to the company's MS control systems, policies, SOPs, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
  • Manage staff development and training to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee and manage budget expenditure and headcount in the department.
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in the chemical manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Experience in handling or participating in ISO certification processes.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical plant management.
  • Familiar with ESH (Environmental, Safety, and Health) regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
