Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and motivate the production team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
- Oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficient use of resources, equipment, and materials to meet quality and delivery standards
- Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and workflows based on demand forecasts and capacity constraints
- Monitor production metrics, including cycle times, output, downtime, and efficiency, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and operational best practices
- Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve any production issues and ensure smooth production runs
- Manage resource planning, including workforce scheduling, equipment maintenance, and inventory control
- Analyze production reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess performance and identify areas for improvement
- Train, develop, and assess production staff to build a highly skilled, efficient, and motivated workforce
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company policies
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in production management within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Proven experience in production planning, process optimization, and team leadership
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, testing) and equipment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with other departments
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and manage production metrics effectively
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and production management software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address production challenges and bottlenecks
