Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Singapore is looking for a Production Engineer to supervise a production team in sheet metal fabrication. Responsibilities include planning and monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving Lean Manufacturing practices. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of fabrication processes and CNC machinery, along with a proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of laser cutting, bending, punching, welding, and surface treatment.
• Experience with tooling setup and CNC machinery.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise operators and technicians in sheet metal production.
• Plan and monitor production activities to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues with engineering and maintenance teams.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing practices and process improvements.
• Monitor production KPIs such as OEE and scrap rates.

Production Engineer (Sheet Metal / Manufacturing)

Lead and supervise a team of operators, technicians, and line leaders in sheet metal production

Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities in coordination with the planning team to meet delivery deadlines

Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in collaboration with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams

Drive Lean Manufacturing, 6S practices, and process improvements on the shop floor

Monitor and report production KPIs such as OEE, scrap rate, and on-time delivery

Requirements

Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (laser cutting, bending, punching, welding, surface treatment)

Familiar with CNC machinery, tooling setup; experience with AMADA machines is a plus

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
