Job summary

A leading consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to manage production planning and execution. The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience. Responsibilities include monitoring production, ensuring quality standards, and collaborating with various teams to improve operations. A strong grasp of both manual and CNC machining is essential, along with knowledge of MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role.
• Well versed in both manual and CNC machining.
• Excellent knowledge in fabrication, aircraft jigs, fixtures, and mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Plan equipment, material, and manpower requirements to execute job orders
• Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion
• Monitor production progress and ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications
• Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution
• Analyse back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations.
• Work with Estimation, Purchasing and Production teams in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime
• Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role would be ideal
• Well verse in both manual and CNC machining
• Excellent knowledge in fabrication, aircraft jigs & fixtures, mechanical assembly, and aircraft maintenance tooling
• Knowledge of MRP systems is essential
• Able to read and understand technical drawings
• Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure.
