Job description

Our Company, in the Production Industry across Singapore has openings for Production Continuous Improvement Engineer.

Overview

Analyse production data to identify opportunities for improvement, conduct root cause analyses for issues, develop strategies to optimize workflows and ensure safety.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership
    • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects with clear goals and timelines
    • Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause analyses, and problem-solving workshops
    • Coach and train production teams on continual improvement tools and methodology
    • Ensure CI initiatives align with business objectives and deliver measurable results
  • Efficiency and Productivity
    • Analyse production workflows, to identify bottlenecks and waste
    • Implement Lean tools (5S, Kaizen) to increase efficiency
    • Develop and track KPI to monitor productivity performance
    • Support manpower and resource planning for optimized utilization
  • Quality
    • Manage production processes to maintain consistent quality
    • Implement and manage in-process inspections for monitoring
    • Participate and address investigations, RCA and corrective/preventive actions
  • Compliance
    • Conduct regular inspections and enforce Workplace Safety and Health Act & Regulations
    • Carry out Risk Assessments and drafts Work Instructions, Safe Work Procedures to identify and mitigate hazards
    • Identify opportunities for safety improvements
  • Coordination
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, quality and maintenance) to drive improvement initiatives
    • Provide training and coaching on CI tools and methodologies
  • Reporting
    • Prepare reports on production indicators for monitoring and review
    • Track, measure and report on CI project progress and results (KPI and efficiency)
  • Communication
    • Be the link between management and operators
    • Communicate employee concerns, suggestions upwards
    • Communicate strategic objectives, directions downwards
  • Any other tasks assigned
    • Carry out any other tasks assigned to support operational excellence
Qualifications

Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing / Leather Technology or related field

Experience

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in production / process engineering / continuous improvement in manufacturing / leather industry preferred

Skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and writing
  • Supervisory experience is essential
  • Good understanding of manufacturing process flow and supporting functions
  • Data analysis and reporting skills for monitoring KPI, cycle times and process efficiency
  • Knowledge of hazardous substances is essential
