Qualifications

  • Remuneration Package: Up to $4,000 + $300 Fixed Allowances (for experienced candidates)
  • Location: Jurong Island – Company transport provided from designated pick-up points
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm (Willingness to perform rotating shifts when required with shift allowances provided)

About the Role

You will be part of the Manufacturing Section, operating in a chemical plant equipped with advanced manufacturing technology and engineering control systems. This role offers excellent exposure to plant operations, process optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives, while working closely with production, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and implement plant improvement and optimisation projects to achieve production, quality, and cost objectives
  • Lead and support plant operations (including shift coverage when required) in compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards and company policies
  • Provide technical support for process troubleshooting, process control system enhancements, and product quality issues
  • Plan and execute trial productions for new product development to support R&D objectives
  • Initiate, register, and coordinate plant modification works to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • 1–2 years of experience in petroleum, chemical, or polymer manufacturing is an advantage
  • Knowledge of process control, troubleshooting methodologies, and hands‑on exposure to plant equipment and instrumentation
  • Strong analytical skills with good technical report writing capability
  • Team-oriented with leadership potential, initiative, and a strong sense of ownership
  • Able to work under pressure and communicate effectively across functions
  • Willing to perform rotating shifts when operational needs arise (including weekends and public holidays)
