Product Technologist

Ming Li & Feng Shui Consumer App

Fu Lu Shou Pte Ltd is building a modern consumer app that translates Ming Li (命理) and Feng Shui (风水) into clear, practical, and accessible digital experiences for the mass market.

We are not building a content app.
We are building a logic-driven system that helps users understand themselves, their cycles, and their environments — through thoughtful product design and reliable software.

We are looking for a rare hybrid builder who can design experiences, engineer systems, and deeply understand the metaphysical frameworks behind them.

Your Mission

As our Product Technologist, you will be responsible for shaping both:

• the user experience
• the technical logic engine

behind our Ming Li & Feng Shui product.

You will translate traditional metaphysical knowledge into structured systems, intuitive flows, and scalable software that everyday users can actually understand and use.

This role works directly with the founders and has real influence over product direction, logic accuracy, and long-term architecture.

What You’ll Do

Product & Experience

• Design end-to-end user journeys across mobile and web
• Translate Ming Li and Feng Shui concepts (destiny structure, cycles, timing, personal patterns) into simple, intuitive interfaces
• Prototype rapidly to explore and validate product ideas
• Define UX standards that balance clarity, depth, and emotional resonance
• Build and evolve lightweight design systems as the product grows

Engineering & Systems

• Design and implement backend services and APIs powering the core logic
• Model structured metaphysical systems into data models and rule-based engines
• Ensure accuracy, performance, and maintainability of production systems
• Work closely with frontend layers to ensure logic and experience align
• Refactor continuously as product understanding deepens

Ownership & Collaboration

• Work closely with founders on product vision and system direction
• Make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, depth, and scalability
• Help define product, design, and technical standards for future hires
• Take ideas from concept → prototype → production → iteration

Required Domain Knowledge (Important)

This role requires working knowledge of Ming Li and Feng Shui.

You should:

• Understand core Ming Li concepts (e.g. destiny structure, cycles, timing, personality logic)
• Be familiar with Feng Shui fundamentals (e.g. environment, flow, influence, practical application)
• Be comfortable translating these systems into structured logic rather than vague interpretation
• Respect the discipline and internal consistency of these traditions, even when modernising them

You do not need to be a master practitioner —

but you must already understand the foundations and be serious about applying them correctly.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience across product design and software development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6-10 years of hands‑on experience in software development.
• Experience designing for mobile and web
• Experience building backend systems, APIs, and production logic
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar
• Solid understanding of UX fundamentals, system design, and data modeling
• Experience working in small, fast-moving product teams
• Bonus: Consumer app experience
• Rule-based or logic-engine systems
• AI-assisted design or development workflows
• Deeper practice in Ming Li, Zi Wei, BaZi, or Feng Shui systems
