Responsibilities
  • Analyze project scope and determine project specifications.
  • Establish test programs for product investigations; analyze test programs for adequacy and sequence.
  • Examine samples for compliance with requirements of appropriate Standards.
  • Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
  • Work with the lab staff in the test specification and coordinate administrative aspects of project management.
  • Resolve engineering issues by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the variations.
  • Integrates basic continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job. Communicates with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new equipment, process, and forms to improve accuracy and efficiencies.
  • Assists in the development of UL requirements. Assists in developing special test methods and test equipment. Analyzes test program for adequacy and sequence.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams for sales & marketing needs.
  • Engagement with Industrial Associations/Engineering Institutions to understand market trends and needs.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
  • University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited program plus four years directly related work experience.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in engineering/design validation/testing and certification/manufacturing in Hazardous Locations (Explosive Atmosphere – Ex Area) – IEC/EN60079-XX (ATEX/IECEX), Oil & Gas industrial equipment such as power supply, Programmable Control Logic, Control Panel, Underground/Aboveground tanks, valve, etc.
  • Working knowledge of conformity standards in use in areas of expertise.
  • Experience in Type/Routine/Special tests to evaluate performance per any local/Global standards is an added advantage.
  • Good English communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in areas of expertise, including application to complex, new, or unusual products.
  • Able to handle documents with patience and carefulness.
  • Quick learner, logical, and stable.
  • A strong customer-focused mindset/passion to work for customer satisfaction.
  • A good team player.
