Primary Purpose of Job
The incumbent is to achieve the Sales and Profit targets for the dedicated brands (e.g., Omron, Schneider, ABB etc) and to grow the number of buying base. It includes developing and growing from existing or new clusters locally and overseas.
It involves positioning the company as the first stop in the mind of all customers for predictive prevention, control and connectivity, monitor and measurement solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Formulate brand sales and marketing plan to generate leads and sales which involve but are not limited to:
- Interpret the strategic plan based on market intelligence related to competitor information, industry trend and market outlook.
- Analyse the company market position vis‑à‑vis competitors.
- Products promotion events/activities.
- Prepare and propose budgets for approval.
- Develop the dedicated brand business by building up customer relationships through visitation, value‑added services & solutions and follow‑up to maintain existing customers and increase sales and profit contribution.
- Prepare monthly pipeline reports and quarterly forecasting to achieve set sales targets.
- Develop new potential customers/contacts for dedicated brand business.
- Work with partners to increase sales for the product/brand assigned.
- Work collaboratively with relevant departments in achieving sales and profitability targets as set by management.
- Provide timely customer response, technical solutions and exceed customer expectations to ensure an optimal level of service.
- Sustain cordial working relationships with customers to be the trusted preferred supplier.
- Close sales and ensure the collectability of debts.
Job Requirements
Technical Competencies
- Formal education in Engineering (preferably in electronic & electrical engineering).
- Knowledge in Sales & Marketing.
- Experience in related industry (e.g., Electronics, Biomedical/Healthcare, General Manufacturing, Building and Infrastructure etc).

- Knowledge of current technological trends and how they fit together (e.g., Internet of Things, i4.0, cyber security, etc).

- Build good contacts and experience with suppliers, contractors, panel builders and system integrators.
- Apply products and services offered by the company such as market demand‑and‑supply dynamics, sustainability standards and the company’s competitiveness in each of them.
- Write effective sales and marketing plans (e.g., product promotion plans).
- Apply activity‑based costing knowledge.
- Plan strategies for effective customer relationship management (CRM).
- Manage and resolve customer complaints and issue resolutions.
- Apply organisational policies and procedures regarding sales orders, debt collection, deliveries and invoices.
- Know the legislative, operational, logistical or administrative issues regarding customers’ markets.
- Manage and review the process for success/failure of sales leads, listening to the voice of customer (VOC) and communicating them to management.
- Demonstrate leadership with project sales management experience; possess a sense of urgency and dedication to work and adaptation to changes.
- Conduct product training and troubleshooting (Level 1 to 3) at customer sites.
- Involve in implementation of sustainability practices to support the corporate sustainability strategy.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements
