Role Overview
The Product Manager will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of overdraft products for corporate banking clients. This role requires strong commercial acumen, product ownership capability, and proven experience in lending or working capital solutions. The successful candidate will work cross‑functionally with business, risk, technology, and operational stakeholders to deliver best‑in‑class product offerings aligned with market needs and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Proposition
- Develop and execute the end‑to‑end overdraft product strategy for corporate client segments including SMEs, Mid‑Caps, and Large Corporates.
- Identify market opportunities, product enhancements, and competitive differentiators to drive growth.
- Align product roadmap with broader working capital, liquidity, and transaction banking solution offerings.
2. P&L Ownership & Performance
- Own and manage the product P&L, including pricing structure, margin optimization, capital efficiency, and utilization improvement.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators such as portfolio growth, yield, usage trends, loss rates, and cost of funds.
- Implement tactical and strategic initiatives to strengthen profitability and portfolio performance.
3. Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Lead product development initiatives including digital onboarding, line management capabilities, and integration across client interfaces.
- Partner with Technology, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant product delivery.
- Ensure readiness across processes, systems, and channels to support an optimal customer experience.
4. Risk & Governance
- Work with Credit Risk teams to establish clear lending parameters, credit frameworks, and monitoring controls.
- Ensure product compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal risk policies, and capital treatment standards.
- Embed strong credit, operational, and conduct risk controls throughout the product lifecycle.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Engage Relationship Managers, Treasury, Operations, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure product alignment to business needs.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for overdraft solutions, supporting client discussions, proposals, and internal enablement.
- Provide product training and guidance to frontline and support teams where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant years of experience in corporate banking, lending, product management, or working capital solutions.
- Knowledge and understanding of overdraft or revolving credit facilities, lending frameworks, and regulatory capital treatment is highly preferred.
- Experience in digitizing lending journeys or client lifecycle processes is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Ability to operate independently, drive outcomes, and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
