Job description
Objective of the position

The product manager for Networks executes product line strategy in the cables vertical with a view to improve the revenue, profitability and increase customer base for our company's cables product. The position is also responsible for credible pricing strategy to meet the long-term needs of the Company. The product scope includes Industrial End to End connectivity Products – Industrial Communication cables, Industrial Ethernet Switches (Managed and Unmanaged), Industrial data connectors, Industrial cellular Routers, Protocol Gateways, and other industrial networking and end to end connectivity products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage product portfolio roadmap and lifecycle from strategic planning to end of life.
  2. Launch NEW products via Stage Gate Process and product life cycle management in collaboration with local, regional, global stakeholders with the guidance of Global Product Cluster Manager.
  3. Manage product, price, place, and promotion.
  4. Study the market, prepare business cases for each NEW product and support development team to develop plans for localization of products.
  5. Product Marketing activities in close co‑ordination with Sales and Marketing.
  6. Conduct regular needs analysis of customers and segments to achieve best operational efficiency and service levels to the customers.
  7. Directly manage pricing based on market inputs and keep list price updated based on LME and market considerations.
  8. Conduct technical seminars and business updates with customers in coordination with sales teams to promote company's products.
  9. Track the performance of the product clusters across regions and customers and recommend corrective strategies for higher sales revenue and profitability.
  10. Ability to manage multiple up to 3 to 5 new projects.
  11. Conduct market research individually and along with sales/external agencies.
  12. Have an end‑to‑end view from source to final customer on profitability and revenue of products.
Accountabilities & Performance Measures
  1. Achieve assigned organizational objectives for product cluster growth, pricing and product mix.
  2. Support sales teams in sales closures through technical support and seminars to customers.
  3. Drive localization efforts for product cluster top‑line growth and profitability.
  4. Ownership for assigned global product portfolio within specific applications.
Skills and Qualification
  1. Engineering or Science Graduate; MBA graduate is an advantage.
  2. Overall, 7‑12 years with minimum 3 years of strong experience in Product Life Cycle Management with reputable companies.
  3. Preferred candidates are from Industrial Communications and Data Center Industries.
  4. Prior experience in cable engineering will be a plus.
  5. Quick learner: willingness to learn Company's cables portfolio and apply product management experience.
  6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Adept in conduct of technical seminars/webinars, good analytical skills.
  8. High proficiency in sales related processes and tools.
  9. English proficiency, preferably with second language skills.
  10. Proficient in Excel, MS Word, Power Point, and knowledge of Power BI.
