Job summary

A global semiconductor company in Singapore is seeking a Product Development engineer to collaborate on the ramp-up of new products, involving debugging and characterization processes for AMD microprocessors. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and reliability of various test methods while working closely with product development teams. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering is required, along with strong skills in scripting languages and operating systems. This role is pivotal in optimizing mass production processes.

Responsibilities

• Validate new product features, test conditions, and methodologies during first silicon bring-up.
• Perform post-silicon bring-up of test patterns for mass production.
• Analyze part failures to improve testing.
• Develop test patterns, test flow, and manage characterization.

Skills

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, shell script

Good understanding of Linux, Unix or Windows OS

ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) test experience

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or comparable disciplines

THE ROLE

As a Product Development engineer, you will collaborate with various Product Development Groups to bring-up and ramp new products which include plan, debug and handling manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Validate new product features, test conditions, test methodologies, and test contents during first silicon bring-up
• Post Silicon Bring up of Test patterns leading to optimization for mass production enablement
• Analysis of part failures leading to test improvement
• Test pattern & test flow development, debug, test and characterization

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, shell script
• Good understanding of Linux, Unix or Windows OS
• ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) test experience
