Job description

About Care

Care is a Singapore-based healthcare technology company dedicated to making care management and everyday wellness more accessible, intuitive, and patient-centric. Partnering closely with premier healthcare providers like Raffles Medical Group, we engineer live digital ecosystems—including the Raffles Connect patient platform, enterprise HR health dashboards, and preventive wellness tools. We bring data, clinical expertise, and design together to build tools used by patients, doctors, and clinic operations staff across the region.

About the role

You’ll own design for assigned features inside a live healthcare product used daily by patients, doctors, and clinic operations staff. The work is end-to-end within a feature: understanding problem framing, designing user flows, building interfaces against an existing design system, and carrying work through engineering handoffs and post-launch measurement. This is a hands‑on craft role. You are not expected to own the overarching design system, set the broader research agenda, or manage a team. You are expected to ship well‑reasoned work, ask thoughtful questions before opening Figma, and leave the system tidier than you found it.

What you’ll do
  • Design end-to-end features:Lead problem framing, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity screens, and interactive prototypes for assigned product areas.
  • Work within the design system:Build components against established token structures, document behavior, states, and usage, and proactively surface inconsistencies rather than working around them.
  • Execute basic research:Run usability tests and moderated feedback sessions for your features, then synthesize findings into defensible design decisions.
  • Partner with Product:Collaborate with product managers to clarify requirements, define scope, and agree on success metrics prior to design kick‑off.
  • Partner with Engineering:Evaluate technical feasibility, write clear design specifications covering front‑end and back‑end behaviors, and review implementation against the spec.
  • Leverage analytics:Use product analytics to inform design decisions pre‑build and evaluate feature adoption post‑release.
  • Apply accessibility standards:Treat WCAG 2.1 AA color contrast ratios (4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for UI elements) as a default baseline rather than a final checklist item.
  • Participate in critique:Present work during weekly design critiques and embrace open feedback.
What we’re looking for
  • 2–3 years of experiencedesigning digital products within a dedicated product team. (Agency or campaign work counts only where you can demonstrate ownership of a live product surface).
  • A portfolio of 2–3 case studiesthat demonstrate product reasoning over final visual polish. We want to see the constraints, options considered, trade-offs made, and what you would do differently.
  • Proficiency in Figma:Hands‑on mastery of components, variants, auto layout, and prototyping.
  • System‑driven mindset:Direct experience designing within an existing design system, rather than solely building screens from scratch.
  • Research fluency:Ability to execute usability tests, capture clear notes for stakeholders, and separate observed user behaviors from personal conclusions.
  • Engineering collaboration:Comfort working alongside engineers and a clear understanding of how technical constraints shape design.
  • Clear written communication:Ability to write clean interface copy and precise design specifications.
Useful, but not required
  • Experience in healthcare, clinical software, or other regulated domains.
  • Experience with AI‑assisted prototyping tools to quickly turn concepts into testable flows.
  • Familiarity with design token architecture (e.g., JSON tokens or Token Studio).
  • Practical HTML/CSS knowledge to inspect front‑end builds and identify divergence from design specs.
  • Strong micro‑interaction and motion design skills.
