Job summary

KenShop, a Singapore-based designer and maker of Singapore-inspired souvenirs, seeks a hands-on Product Designer to lead the full development cycle from research through production. You will balance creativity with cost, quality and timelines while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to launch compelling merchandise for tourists and locals.

You will bring at least 2 years in product/industrial design, proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop and 3D tools (Rhino/SolidWorks/KeyShot), and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of product or industrial design experience, preferably in souvenirs, gifts, lifestyle merchandise, or consumer goods.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop, with 3D modelling and rendering using Rhino, SolidWorks or KeyShot.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, printing, finishes and packaging.
• Experience preparing technical specifications, reviewing samples, coordinating with suppliers.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in spoken and written mandarin to discuss technical specs with China-based suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Research market trends, customer preferences and Singapore culture to identify opportunities.
• Develop original concepts to meaningful, commercially appealing products for tourists and locals through sketches, 2D layouts and 3D models.
• Prepare supplier-ready specifications, technical drawings, material selections, and artwork.
• Review prototypes, samples and packaging, providing clear feedback to improve design and quality.
• Work with suppliers to resolve technical issues and align materials, production methods, costs and timelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams on branding, packaging, retail needs and product launches.
• Manage multiple projects, maintain organised design files, and track development milestones.
