Job summary

Multiplier Holdings is seeking a Product Designer to co-create AI-native accounting workflows for accountants, bookkeepers, and finance teams. You will partner with our Corporate Accounting Pod’s design lead to build new experiences and improve existing ones across accounting and advisory firms.

You will own end-to-end design from concept to developer handoff, applying strong craft, typography, layout and motion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of product design experience across end-to-end product cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead from ideation to live adoption and scale.
• Excellent visual craft and ability to tie typography, layout, interaction and motion together.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the design vision for AI-native accounting tools (40/60 split 0→1 vs 1→10).
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and accounting firms to uncover real pain points.
• Translate complex financial workflows into intuitive experiences with AI and human oversight.
• Design across Slack, email, Excel, and the web, including MCP surfaces used by clients’ agents.
• Move from prototypes to production interfaces; code directly in a production context with AI tools.
• Grow and document a shared design system for consistent engineering and AI coding.

About the Corporate Accounting Pod

Our Corporate Accounting Pod works with a growing portfolio of corporate accounting and advisory firms across the UK, APAC, and North America to integrate AI-native workflows into their process. Our products are actively used by over 7 firms every day.

We’re looking for a Product Designer to work alongside our Corporate Accounting design lead to design and build entirely new workflows for accountants, bookkeepers, controllers, R&D tax advisors, outsourced CFOs, firm leaders, and the founders and finance teams they serve.

What you’ll do

• Define and drive the design vision for AI-native accounting and business tools, splitting your time roughly 40/60 between building new products (0→1) and refining and scaling those firms already use every day (1→10)
• Work closely with product, engineering, and our accounting firms to understand real pain points through customer discovery, then rapidly explore, prototype, and iterate on solutions
• Turn complex financial workflows into intuitive experiences where AI does the work and humans manage and steer. Help define what good AI output looks like to an accountant, and translate that into practical evals and feedback loops
• Design across Slack, email, Excel, and the web, including the MCP surfaces that clients’ own agents use to work with the firm
• Combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, from working prototypes to polished production interfaces. Design directly in code using tools like Claude Code and Codex: our design system lives in code, not Figma. We no longer maintain a Figma library or hand off Figma files, though Figma and other tools still have a place in our thinking and sketching
• Grow and document our shared design system so engineers and AI coding agents can apply it consistently

Who you are

• You have 5+ years of product design experience
• Both a 0→1 and a 1→10 designer: you've built products from scratch and thrive in ambiguity, and you've also taken a live product through adoption, iteration and scale
• You own end-to-end design work: from wild ideas to polished developer handoffs
• You have strong taste and design judgement: sharp visual design chops, a well-trained eye for craft, and the ability to bring typography, layout, interaction and motion together into one cohesive product that feels considered down to the details
• AI‑native in how you work: you use AI tools every day, you've shipped at least one AI or agentic product, and you know where models fail and design for it
• Technically curious and fluent in design tools and code: you understand how products are built, experiment with new design and prototyping workflows, and use AI coding tools to build working prototypes and open pull requests for production front-end changes
• Autonomous/self-driven: you can motivate and manage yourself, and steer your own path without requiring much oversight
• Deeply collaborative: you enjoy working closely with engineers and product people to figure things out together
• Customer obsessed: especially with users who aren't tech‑savvy but do complex work, and who must trust an AI's output before they sign off on it
• Proactive with feedback: You adapt well across tech and accounting cultures, actively seeking input from engineers and accountant partners alike
• Open to occasional international travel to visit firms in the UK/APAC/North America or for team off‑sites
