Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Singapore is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to ensure accurate financial reporting and risk management. The ideal candidate will prepare daily P&L reports, perform variance analysis, and collaborate with various teams to meet compliance needs. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field and 3–5 years of relevant experience. This role requires proficiency in Excel and a strong understanding of financial instruments and markets.

Job description

This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, risk management, and performance analysis for our trading desks. You will work closely with traders, risk managers, and finance teams to provide timely and reliable P&L reporting and support strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and validate daily P&L reports for assigned trading desks.
  • Perform variance analysis and explain key drivers of P&L movements.
  • Ensure accurate valuation of positions, including mark‑to‑market and fair value adjustments.
  • Monitor and reconcile trade data between front office and back office systems.
  • Collaborate with risk and finance teams to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including reporting and audit requirements.
  • Provide insights on trading performance and assist in ad‑hoc analysis for senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in product control, preferably within a commodity trading or investment banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, derivatives, and commodity markets.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with trading systems (e.g., Endur, Allegro, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
