Job description
Responsibilities
  • Drive and support the execution of the regional commodity strategy in alignment with global procurement goals, ensuring the development of a strong and sustainable supplier base across Asia.
  • Build and maintain a robust supplier portfolio by identifying potential vendors, participating in onboarding decisions, managing supplier data, and overseeing supplier classification throughout the full lifecycle.
  • Strengthen supplier relationships through regular engagement, business reviews, and international visits, including negotiating annual volumes, capacities, and supporting supplier audits.
  • Act as a key escalation point for supplier-related issues, leading negotiations and recommending corrective measures or strategy adjustments when required.
  • Monitor procurement and supplier risks on an ongoing basis, evaluate mitigation options, coordinate implementation of risk actions, and report progress to global stakeholders.
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities, develop savings plans, track implementation, and prepare savings reports aligned with annual targets.
  • Lead supplier transfer or relocation projects by assessing strategic, cost, performance, and risk considerations, ensuring smooth transition and continuity of supply.
  • Support procurement process improvements by contributing to digitalization and standardization initiatives, assisting in supplier selection and performance enhancement, and handling escalations for supplier complaints as required by operations.
Requirements
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, or supplier management within a regional or global procurement environment.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage suppliers across multiple countries.
  • Proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage complex projects, mitigate risks, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
