A recruitment agency in Singapore is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to develop procurement strategies, negotiate supplier agreements, and oversee inventory control. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and at least 8 years of experience in supply chain management. This role involves leading a team, managing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives, cost targets, and quality standards.
Source, qualify, and manage both local and overseas suppliers for key materials and components.
Continuously identify alternative sourcing options and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
Lead and negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and supplier agreements to achieve optimal savings and value.
Establish frameworks to evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness, and take corrective actions when necessary.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by coordinating RFQ and sourcing activities, ensuring supplier readiness for production ramp-up.
Drive RFQ and cost-down projects within required timelines.
Lead demand forecasting, material planning, and production scheduling to ensure timely material availability.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve delivery and production milestones.
Manage MRP processes and ensure data integrity within ERP systems across procurement and supply chain modules.
Ensure purchase orders are issued to suppliers promptly and accurately.
Maintain a balanced supply-demand flow to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
Develop and enforce inventory control policies to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and maintain inventory turnover within 45 days.
Oversee the management of slow-moving and obsolete materials, conducting regular inventory reviews, audits, and cycle counts for high accuracy.
Supervise inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and cost-efficient movement of goods.
Manage import/export operations, including shipping documentation and customs compliance.
Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics partners to optimize routes, costs, and lead times.
Enhance procurement and supply chain efficiency through process automation and ERP optimization.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing, and trade regulations.
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of supply chain, planning, and purchasing professionals, fostering growth and capability development.
Prepare and present management reports on procurement, supplier, and inventory performance.
Oversee and ensure timely supplier payments in accordance with company standards.
Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering, with at least 8 years of experience in supply chain management within a relevant industry.
Strong proficiency in MRP and ERP systems.
Knowledge of cable assembly, box build assembly, and system integration processes.
Excellent cost analysis and supplier benchmarking capabilities.
Familiarity with ethical sourcing practices.
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Experience managing multi-site operations.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative and results-driven mindset.
