Overview

Position Title: Procurement Supervisor

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain

Reports To: Procurement Manager / Supply Chain Manager

Location: Singapore / Malaysia

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for sourcing and acquiring goods, materials, and services in line with the company’s operational requirements. This includes managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement to support business functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery performance.
  • Issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), compare offers, and negotiate prices and terms.
  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) in the procurement system.
  • Track order status and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery delays, damaged goods, or payment disputes.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels by tracking incoming shipments and coordinating with warehouse team.
  • Monitor market trends and identify cost-savings opportunities.
  • Monitor material usage and wastage to support cost control and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchaser, Buyer, or in a similar procurement role.
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with purchasing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g. CIPS, CPM, or equivalent).
  • Experience in Fresh Foods or Wholesale Industry.
  • Willingness and ability to travel between Malaysia and Singapore offices as required.
