Procurement Specialist (Chemical Manufacturer)
- Monitor chemical raw material pricing closely from LME/SME/CPO and report accordingly to Purchasing Manager.
- Monitor market closely and ensure stability price and supply from suppliers.
- Foster relationship and negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Establish and manage term contracts for regularly used items.
- Close coordination with regional counter‑parts to formulate and execute pricing.
- Source and identify alternative supply for critical or high‑risk material.
- Coordinate with Sales/Production for their requirement and liaise with suppliers, negotiate for right price and material to support production on time.
- Work closely with Store and Production to ensure sufficient stock to support and execute storage space strategy.
- Coordinate with QC Department for raw material specification requirement, and ensure suppliers deliver the right quality as per Purchase Order spec approved by QC.
- Coordinate with suppliers, Production, and QC – Department on the non‑conforming raw material received, filling official compliance to suppliers and monitoring closely to prevent repeats.
- Coordinate with Account Department for incoming raw material documents especially from overseas, issuing L/C, custom clearance permits and in‑land trucking.
- Enforce QESH, Food Safety requirement and local law regulation related to procurement of material and equipment.
- Assist in reviewing procurement policy and procedures.
- Perform any other duty as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement.
- Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi‑task.
- A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Positive attitude, proactive and self‑initiated.
