Job summary
A leading procurement firm in Singapore is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing conditions and supplier management. The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of experience, preferably with a mechanical engineering background, and strong skills in negotiation and supply chain management software. Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in purchase or sourcing management.
- Mechanical Engineering background preferred.
- Familiar with sheet metal, machining, electronic supplier base in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Good knowledge and experience for customized products.

- Monitor, benchmark and optimize existing purchasing conditions.
- Supervise the procurement plan to meet customer expectations.
- Manage a team, including purchaser and warehouse/logistic officer.

Education

Responsibilities
- Monitor, benchmark and optimize existing purchasing conditions following the TCO concept.
- Supervise the procurement plan to ensure it meets customer expectations.
- Monitor, evaluate and develop existing suppliers based on KPIs.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize stock levels to minimize cost and maximize availability.
- Optimize purchasing processes in the local purchasing organization following the global company guidelines
- Support the local sales and ETO team to achieve optimal plant performance.
- Approve and expedite purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Initiate and follow up on savings generation and reporting to ensure the achievement of the targets set.
- Conduct regular risk assessments on existing suppliers and terms
- Manage a team of subordinates including purchaser and warehouse/logistic officer.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, sourcing, purchasing, planning or relevant.
- Mechanical Engineering background would be preferred.
- Familiar with sheet metal, machining, electronic supplier base in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in purchase or sourcing management. Project procurement management would be preferred.
- Good Knowledge and experience for customized products.
- Excellent supply chain management software and technologies.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good sense of team spirit. Good leadership and management abilities.
