Job description

We are seeking an accomplished Procurement Manager to join our team in Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in establishing the relevant policies to ensure the efficient and cost‑effective procurement of all materials for the operations of our Resort.

The Procurement Manager will have an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Resort. You will support various departments in their procurement needs, specifically to ensure that our processes are effective, in compliance with regulations, and optimized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Resort’s procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost‑effective purchase of goods.
  • Collaborate with other departments and colleagues to plan and detail their procurement needs, engaging them to identify synergies and achieve cost savings.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms and contracts, maintain positive relationships, conduct regular supplier performance reviews and quality checks to ensure compliance with resort standards.
  • Plan and manage procurement process to achieve cost savings and ensure financial efficiency, analyzing market trends and pricing for informed decisions.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with hotel policies, legal requirements and industry standards, working closely with finance team to reconcile purchase orders, invoices and payments.
  • Conduct and manage the tender process, including interviews, site walk‑throughs and awarding contracts.
  • Participate in the set‑up of the procurement system during resort opening.
Job Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Solid track record of 4 to 6 years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to handle matters independently and exercise self‑motivation to complete projects.
