  • develop and implement innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies
  • source reliable suppliers and vendors based on project requirements and initiate business and organisation partnerships
  • compare proposals for price and specifications and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers in the industry
  • examine existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility
  • conduct risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements
  • collaborate closely with the legal department to make sure contract terms are favourable to the company
  • control the procurement budget and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs
  • approve purchase orders of goods and services and finalise details of delivery
  • manage technological systems that track shipments, inventory and supply of goods
  • track and update relevant departments regarding changes in the prices of goods and vendor pricing
  • monitor key functional metrics and create daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
