Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Buyer to handle the end-to-end procurement process supporting Business Units. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of procurement experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and hands-on experience with SAP and Microsoft Office. This role requires the ability to work dynamically in a shared services environment, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company guidelines and policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience in Procurement as a Buyer.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced shared services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Procure goods and services meeting cost, quality and delivery targets.
  • Conduct sourcing and competitive quotations for best value.
  • Evaluate and negotiate orders with selected suppliers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description

Responsible for the end-to-end procurement process from Purchase Request (PR) sourcing to Purchasing Order (PO) issuance to support the needs of Business Units and meet agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
  • Conduct sourcing/competitive quotation so as to ensure that the best value is achieved for the company
  • Evaluate, negotiate and award orders to selected supplier
  • Ensure that goods and services are timely delivered
  • Achieve the Service Level Agreements (SLA) of Shared Services Centre (SSC)
  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
  • Resolve all price, quality, and delivery or invoice issues
  • Build, maintain and manage relationships of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement efforts on work process efficiency.
Requirements
  • Diplomain Business Administration/ Procurement/ Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • At least two (2) years of experience in Procurement as a Buyer
  • SAP Hands-on and Microsoft Office experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication & planning skills
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced shared services environment

Working hours : Mon - Fri / 8am to 5.30pm
