Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a Procurement Executive for a 6-month contract. The role involves negotiating with vendors, generating purchase orders, and ensuring timely deliveries. Candidates should have a diploma in a related field and fundamental knowledge of supply chain management. Experience with tools like Microsoft Excel is essential. Qualifications

Job description
Procurement Executive (6-months contract)

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiation to achieved cost saving driving towards KPI targeted set.
  • Generate Purchase Orders and issue PO to vendor.
  • Monitoring scheduled delivery dates and raising any related issues which might impact product quality and project timelines to Procurement Executive.
  • Maintain and ensure procurement documentation is updated regularly in system (ERP).
  • Send requisition and request quotation based on Requestor specification/ requirement.
  • Negotiate pricing with vendors, per product knowledge justification.
  • Assist on non-conformance, provide administrative support related to payment issues, freight document verification and shipment arrangement to vendor for rejected goods, etc.
  • Collaborate with vendors to rectify recurring supply and quality issues.
  • Source for new/alternate vendors to ensure the supply for KEY commodities.
  • Prequalification of vendors (AVL).
  • Run errands for self-collection/delivery for standard part & fabrications secondary process.
  • Support Senior Procurement and Procurement Executive on issue PO, data entry, data gathering and etc.

Requirements:

  • Nitec/Diploma holder in related field (Engineering, Logistic or Supply chain management, etc)
  • Min 1 – 2 years of relevant experience is a bonus.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain & Inventory Management.
  • Basic precision/ mechanical knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint for project management and reports.
  • Good communication, negotiation, problem solving and sourcing skills.

  • Monday – Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm
