Job summary

A recruitment agency based in Singapore is seeking a professional to manage RFQs and coordinate with suppliers for mechanical and electro-mechanical commodities. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, knowledge of Oracle and/or SAP, and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. This role is critical for managing the supplier base and supporting project management activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Preferably with Oracle and/or SAP module knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct RFQ for mechanical and electro-mech commodities.
• Act as Quote Leader for assigned customers, managing BOM submissions.
• Manage supplier base covering quality, delivery, cost, and contracts.

Job description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• RFQ for mechanical, electro-mech commodity; per customer specification or propose alternatives.
• Quote Leader for assigned customers, responsible for BOM submission.
• Cost reduction and alternate sourcing program for new and existing projects.
• Supplier base management covering Quality, Delivery, Cost and Contract finalization.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments for First Article Approval.
• System set up for approved parts and suppliers.
• Project management.
• Able to read technical drawings / specifications.
• Contribute to the company risk management process in accordance with your position and duties / responsibilities.
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor.
• Preferably with sheet metal and machining experience & supplier base.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Preferably with Oracle and/or SAP module knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point.
