Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end procurement operations. Candidates should have at least a Diploma in an Engineering discipline and relevant experience in material costing. Strong analytical, planning, and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively across departments in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Chemical.
  • Relevant working experience with good understanding of material costing and Bills of Quantity (BQ).
  • Strong analytical, planning, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Execute end-to-end procurement operations in accordance with the company’s Procurement Policies.
  • Verify product deliveries against issued POs, resolving discrepancies with vendors.

Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Execute end-to-end procurement operations in accordance with the company’s Procurement Policies and Procedures, including purchase order (PO) issuance and invoice matching.

  • Verify product deliveries against issued POs and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.

  • Manage procurement quotations, review and negotiate vendor pricing, terms and conditions, and delivery schedules to meet project and customer requirements.

  • Support RFQ inquiries from the project team.

  • Build strong, value-added relationships with vendors and cross-functional departments.

  • Assist in new vendor registration and annual vendor evaluations.

  • Global Supply Chain Enhancement: Strengthen overseas supply chains through data-driven processes, standardized operating procedures (SOPs), and digital system implementations.

  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience Required
  • Minimum Diploma in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Chemical.

  • Relevant working experience with a good understanding of material costing and Bills of Quantity (BQ).

  • Strong analytical, planning, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • A strong sense of urgency with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Excellent coordination skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with various departments, manage timelines, and prioritize tasks based on company needs.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and internal customers.

  • Keen attention to detail with a careful and precise approach to work.
