Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Procurement Executive / Purchasing Assistant to manage sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and purchasing activities. You will ensure timely procurement of materials and services, maintain strong supplier relationships, and support overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full spectrum of procurement activities — sourcing, quotation, negotiation, order placement, and delivery coordination.
- Ensure all purchases comply with user specifications and company policies.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors for optimal pricing, payment terms, and timely delivery.
- Expedite orders and monitor deliveries to meet project timelines.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, pricing data, and documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers on product quality issues, claims, and replacements.
- Coordinate with logistics and finance teams on delivery and payment matters.
- Collaborate with project, sales, and procurement teams to support operational needs.
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay updated on market trends.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate superior or management.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Knowledge of local and overseas material and equipment sources.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers.
- Proactive, independent, and a strong team player with a positive attitude.
