Job summary

A leading food company in Singapore is seeking a Procurement Assistant to manage sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in procurement, strong organizational skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Chinese-speaking candidates are preferred for liaising with suppliers. This position involves supporting management and ensuring smooth procurement processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant purchasing or procurement experience.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills (verbal & written).
  • Chinese-speaking candidates preferred (to liaise with Chinese suppliers).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
  • Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, products, and supplies.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, and invoices.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on order confirmation, delivery schedules, and price negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing documents, supplier information, and product data.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in placing replenishment orders.
Office & Document Management
  • Manage and organize purchase‑related files, records, and correspondence.
  • Maintain filing systems (both digital and physical) for easy document retrieval.
  • Prepare purchasing reports and assist in data entry or cost analysis when required.
Communication & Support for Management
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth procurement and delivery processes.
  • Support management in daily administrative and purchasing operations.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors and customers to resolve order or delivery issues.
