A prominent construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage purchasing policies and liaise with various departments. The role involves vendor negotiations, logistics support for project management, and ensuring smooth material movement. Candidates should have a diploma in supply chain or relevant field, with 2 to 5 years of experience in purchasing or logistics roles. Experience in the water industry is a plus.
Maintaining the purchasing policy and ensuring that all purchases adhere to it.
Liaison with other departments, particularly Project, Finance, QA/QC departments.
Source and negotiate with the Vendor to meet targeted cost savings of the projects.
Prepares Commercial Bid Evaluation and issue Purchase Order.
Support the Project Management Team (PMT) on all logistics issues.
Liaison with Client's Logistics department, understand the requirement, to ensure smooth accomplishment of projects.
Create a plan or time-table for the movement of material to meet project schedule.
Liaison with Vendors on the shipping information and tracking the progress of delivery.
To check the submission of shipping document from the Vendor and get Client's clearance prior the shipment.
Obtain more quotations when necessary for major shipment.
Provide quotations to PMT for issuance of Logistics Requisition Form (LRF).
Responsible for the issuance of shipping document (Packing List, Delivery Order, Commercial Invoice, Custom Certificate and Certificate of Origin).
Coordinate with the warehouse on all crating and packing of materials.
Arrange the transportation of purchased materials, conduct receiving activities, including storage of goods.
To keep records of all goods movement.
Matching of Invoices (Forwarders/Courier).
To keep records of stock level if there is any.
To work closely with the storeman.
Diploma in supply chain or relevant field.
Able to work as team.
2 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or logistics roles. Experience in water industry is a plus.
Less experience can be considered as Junior position.
