Job summary

A leading polymer manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Process Technician to ensure smooth operations in line with production plans. The role involves supporting plant operations, assisting with product quality testing, and adhering to safety procedures. Candidates should possess an ITE/Diploma in chemical or mechanical fields and have at least 2 years of relevant experience. The position requires working 12-hour rotating shifts.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or polymer plant.
  • Class 1 or Class 2 local boiler attendant certification is an advantage.
  • Willingness to perform 12-hour rotating shift work.

Responsibilities

  • Support safe and reliable plant operations by assisting with process units.
  • Assist with process sampling and testing to ensure product quality.
  • Apply Safe System of Work procedures and risk control measures.

Roles

Process Technician will be part of the Operations Team responsible for ensuring Operations processes run smoothly as per production plan. The incumbent will participate in troubleshooting and resolving operations and process issues.

Responsibilities
  • Supports the execution and maintenance of safe and reliable plant operations by assisting with process units and utilities operations at plant sites, as well as basic frontline maintenance activities, under close supervision and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assists with process sampling and basic testing to ensure that the product quality is within customers’ requirements.
  • Applies Safe System of Work (SSoW) procedures and risk control measures to ensure work activities are carried out safely.
Requirements
  • ITE/Diploma in chemical or mechanical
  • At least 2 years’ of relevant experience in a manufacturing/polymer plant
  • Those who possesses either a Class 1 or Class 2 local boiler attendant certification will be an added advantage
  • Experience in DCS operations and controls
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • A team player, with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willing to perform 12hour rotating shift work
