Job summary

NES GLOBAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Process Safety Lead to oversee safety across feasibility, FEED and EPCM stages. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance and safe, cost-effective designs.

Responsibilities include leading HAZOP/LOPA/QRA studies, designing fire protection systems, and delivering technical safety documentation across Concept to EPC/EPCM projects.

Qualifications

• 8-15+ years’ experience in Process / Technical Safety or Fire Protection Engineering
• Experience in Oil & Gas, LNG terminals, refineries and energy sectors
• Proven experience delivering safety engineering across Concept to EPC/EPCM
• Hands-on expertise in process safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, QRA, PCS, Safety Case)
• Firewater and fire protection design, hydraulic calculations
• Developing and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, data sheets and technical reports
• Strong knowledge of international codes, standards and regulatory requirements
• Ability to define scopes of work and review outputs from third party safety studies
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing clients/teams

Job description

The role will provide Process Safety / THSE leadership across feasibility, pre-FEED, FEED and EPCM project phases, ensuring safe, compliant, cost effective and operationally sound designs. Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project management, permitting, clients and supply chain to successfully deliver project objectives in line with company standards, systems and values.

• Lead and deliver process and technical safety scope across all project phases (Concept, Pre FEED, FEED, EPC/EPCM), ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Leadership and participation in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, QRA, FERA, PCS, and Facility Siting Studies
• Design and review of firewater systems, fire & gas detection, firefighting, foam, clean agent, and passive fire protection systems.
• Development and review of PFDs, P&IDs, plot plans, 3D models, Basis of Design, and safety documentation
• Consequence modelling (thermal radiation, gas dispersion, explosion/blast).
• Firewater network and hydraulic analysis using industry standard tools (e.g., Pipenet).
• Technical assurance reviews of area classification drawings, layouts, and safety critical systems.

Requirements

• 8-15+ years’ experience in Process / Technical Safety or Fire Protection Engineering within Oil & gas, LNG Regasification Terminal and FSRU, chemical, refinery, renewable, and emerging energy sectors.
• Proven experience delivering safety engineering across Concept, Pre FEED, FEED, and EPC/EPCM projects (greenfield and brownfield).
• Strong hands on expertise in:

-Process safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, QRA, PCS, Safety Case)

-Firewater, fire & gas, firefighting and passive fire protection system design

-Hydraulic calculations, consequence modelling and safety system sizing

• Proficiency in developing and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, data sheets, calculations, and technical reports.
• Solid working knowledge of international codes, standards, client specifications, and local regulatory requirements.
• Experience defining scopes of work and reviewing outputs from third party safety studies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence clients, partners, and multidisciplinary teams.
