Job scope

• Lead safety case engagements in collaboration with the Major Hazards Department.
• Coordinate and participate in risk assessments such as Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), LOPA, and risk profiling activities.
• Develop and execute risk reduction plans at the cluster or facility level.
• Support deployment of Management of Change (MOC) processes and participate in reviews, including pre-startup assessments.

Process Safety and Risk Management

• Lead safety case engagements in collaboration with the Major Hazards Department.
• Coordinate and participate in risk assessments such as Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), LOPA, and risk profiling activities.
• Develop and execute risk reduction plans at the cluster or facility level.
• Support deployment of Management of Change (MOC) processes and participate in reviews, including pre-startup assessments.

Environmental Stewardship

• Manage day-to-day environmental operations and compliance.
• Ensure timely completion of internal and external environmental reporting.
• Facilitate adherence to all environmental regulatory requirements.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Support

• Provide ongoing HSE support, including management of Contractor Operational Excellence (OE), Incident Investigation and Reporting (II&R), Risk Management, Control of Work (CoW), and Human & Organizational Performance (HOP).
• Ensure full implementation of the OE Management System, meeting both internal and external compliance standards.
• Guide and support business leaders (Operations Managers, District Managers, RBCs, and Store Managers) in executing OE practices.
• Track and report on HSE performance metrics, manage the annual OE HSE calendar, and deliver related communication materials.
• Coach line leaders in conducting incident investigations effectively.
• Oversee and assist with field operations, offering HSE support and advice when needed.
• Drive the implementation of Contractor OE system and safety initiatives, including Control of Work, Risk Assessment, and HOP tools (e.g., Learning Teams, Safeguard Learning Tool (SLT), Post-Job Debriefs).
• Lead stewardship of HOP and SLT programs at both supervisory and field levels.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement the OE business plan and corporate HSE policies.
• Provide HSE support for major maintenance and construction projects.

Security

• Assist in completing Baseline Security Self-Assessments (BSSA) and Security Risk Assessments (SRA).
• Support the implementation of Port Facility Security Plans.
