Job summary

Sembcorp Utilities Services Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced engineer to lead FEED and basic process design for power plants, central utilities and data-center HVAC systems. The role requires strong experience with P&IDs, heat and mass balance, and equipment specifications.

The candidate will drive safety, quality, and lifecycle cost considerations across multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to technology evaluation and project execution from feasibility to commissioning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
5-8 years of experience in engineering and project management within the energy sector.
Experience in Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) and utilities projects engineering is required.

Responsibilities

Perform FEED and basic process design for power plants, centralized utilities, water systems, and HVAC for data centers and plants.
Develop key deliverables: P&IDs, heat/mass balance, process flow diagrams, operating philosophies, layouts, equipment specs.
Lead inter-discipline reviews focusing on safety, quality, performance, and lifecycle costs.
Conduct conceptual studies, due diligence, cost estimation, site surveys, and technical proposals for customers.
Evaluate emerging technologies and innovative engineering solutions for potential use.
Participate in project execution through design memos, tender evaluations, and field issue resolutions.
Ensure compliance with standards and company practices.
