Process Engineering Manager

Job Summary

In this role, you will lead a part of the process engineering team to develop and optimize processes that enhance efficiency and product quality. You will manage engineering projects, ensure compliance with industry standards, and foster innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee process improvement initiatives using Lean Sigma methodologies.
  • Leading and guiding a team of 3-5 process engineers.
  • Develop and implement process design and optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, R&D, SCM, QA and other teams to ensure process alignment and integration.
  • Monitor process performance metrics and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use standard problem solving techniques such as LEAN, Six Sigma, A3, 8D, DMAIC…etc.
  • Ensure processes comply with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the operations team.
  • Facilitate training and development programs for engineering staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualification
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering, including leadership or managerial roles.
  • Proven experience with process design and improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
  • Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good project management skills. (e.g. PMP)
  • Self-motivated, results- and solution-oriented personality
  • Able to comply with the company's safety policy at all times.
  • Able to comply with the company's quality policy at all times.
Additional Requirements

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Medium physical demand is required, involving standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to manage high-stress situations and maintain focus during complex problem-solving tasks.
