Job description
Your Mission

This position is responsible for managing, innovating, and improving electric vehicle cell assembly techniques through process improvements. He/She will also manage smart manufacturing assistance systems to ensure the production of quality products. Additionally, he/she will support HMGICS and Depot.

What To Expect
Plant and Depot Support – Process Engineering
  • Support both the plant and depot in process engineering activities.
Cell Assembly Process Engineering
  • Develop, maintain, and improve documentation (e.g., assembly methods, standard operating procedures, specification tables) for existing model/module assembly sequences and techniques.
  • Collaborate with NPI to facilitate the introduction of new vehicles into the assembly line.
  • Design and implement on-the-job training programs and proficiency improvement plans for technicians.
  • Innovate and implement smart manufacturing technologies in collaboration with the Innovation Group and external partners.
  • Manage and perform Level 1 troubleshooting for cell-related issues.
  • Serve as a superuser for various HMGICS proprietary systems.
  • Develop and improve jigs and fixtures used on the assembly line.
Process Improvement
  • Monitor records and develop line-balancing strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes in terms of cost and quality.
  • Streamline workflows within each cell and optimize labor distribution.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3–5 years of experience in a production environment, with a focus on operating and innovating cell manufacturing processes and techniques, as well as analyzing manufacturing equipment data
  • Technical skills in evaluating manufacturing techniques and conducting DPA using AutoCAD and CATIA
  • Technical skills in analyzing data related to workability, workload, lead time, and proficiency records
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing process optimization and Lean concepts
  • Knowledge of plant automation, robotics, and PLC systems (a plus)
  • Proficiency in MS Office
