Job summary

An engineering consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking a process designer to develop and review process design deliverables for FPSO projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering and over 5 years of experience in process design, along with proficiency in process simulation software. This role involves preparing technical diagrams, conducting safety studies, and coordinating between various engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in process design for offshore or FPSO projects.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Conduct process safety studies (HAZOP, SIL, etc.).
• Collaborate with mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation teams.

Job description

Role Purpose

Responsible for developing and reviewing process design deliverables for the FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) project, ensuring compliance with client specifications, safety standards, and international codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Design Prepare and review process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  Perform process simulations and calculations for FPSO systems (separation, compression, dehydration, etc.).
  Develop equipment sizing and process datasheets for major equipment.
• Safety & Compliance Conduct process safety studies (HAZOP, SIL, etc.).
  Ensure compliance with international standards (API, ASME, ISO) and project-specific requirements.
• Interface Coordination Collaborate with mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure proper integration of process systems.
  Provide technical support during design reviews and client meetings.
• Documentation & Reporting Prepare process design reports and technical notes.
  Support procurement by reviewing vendor documents and providing clarifications.
