Job summary

MANFIELD EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Process Engineer to drive process improvements and manage MOC/Non-regular work systems in a chemical environment in Singapore. You will coordinate trials with R&D and Operations, evaluate long-term process performance, and troubleshoot plant issues with root cause analysis.

The role requires a degree in Chemical Engineering and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement process improvement ideas via Management of Change (MOC) and/or non-regular work systems.
• Draft improvement ideas to enhance process safety, product safety/quality, energy efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Coordinate grade trial runs with R&D and Operations; manage trials and evaluations.
• Evaluate long-term process performance and key parameters to detect potential risks to plant stability, safety or quality.
• Troubleshoot process-related plant issues; perform root cause analysis and propose corrective/preventive actions.
• Participate in HAZOP, FMEA and Control Plan studies for safety and quality improvements.
• Oversee process-related CAPEX projects from concept design to FEED and lead assigned projects.
• Study and implement Industry 4.0 technologies for productivity and process improvements.
• Engage in Company EHSQ program and promote continuous improvement.

Job description

• Implement Process Improvement idea via Management of Change system and/or Non-regular work system.
• Draft process improvement idea with the objectives to improve process / occupational safety, improve product safety / quality, reduce energy consumption, improve production capacity / productivity, and reduce costs.
• Coordinate, arrange and plan new grade trial run with R&D and Operation team, and handle the trial run and the evaluation.
• Evaluate process performance and key process parameters from long term view and/or periodically to uncover potential risk that may leads to plant instability, safety or quality issues.
• Troubleshoot plant trouble related to process, perform root cause analysis and propose corrective and preventive measures as process engineering function and/or based on request basis.
• Participate actively in HAZOP, FMEA and Control plan studies as Process engineering function for safety and quality improvement.
• Oversee Process related capital expenditures project from conceptual design up to Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Lead the project assigned by (assistant) manager of department.
• Study and implement Industry 4.0 related technologies as part of Productivity Improvements and Process improvement Projects
• Participate in Company EHSQ program and cooperate with its promotion and improvement.
