Job summary

A prominent chemical company in Singapore is seeking a process engineer with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering. You will be responsible for implementing process improvements, evaluating performance, and troubleshooting plant issues. Candidates with 1-3 years of experience in petrochemical industries are preferred, though those without experience may be considered. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

Job description

Jobscope

• Draft process improvement idea with the objectives to improve process / occupational safety, improve product safety / quality, reduce energy consumption, improve production capacity / productivity, and reduce costs.
• Implement Process Improvement idea via Management of Change system and/or Non-regular work system.
• Coordinate, arrange and plan new grade trial run with R&D and Operation team, and handle the trial run and the evaluation.
• Evaluate process performance and key process parameters from long term view and/or periodically to uncover potential risk that may lead to Plant instability, Safety or Quality issues.
• Troubleshoot plant trouble related to process, perform root cause analysis and propose corrective and preventive measures as process engineering function and/or based on request basis.
• Participate actively in HAZOP, FMEA and Control plan studies as Process engineering function for safety and quality improvement.
• Oversee Process related capital expenditures project from conceptual design up to Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and lead the project assigned
• Participate in Productivity Improvements and Process improvement Projects and participate in Company EHSQ program

Requirements

• Min. Bachelor / Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
• 1-3 year(s) of working experience in Petrochemical Industries (Preferred).
• Familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and SS651.
• Familiar with Process Simulation software such as Aspen Plus®, Aspen HYSYS®.
• Familiar with Distributed Control System (DCS), in particular its logic and sequence modification.
• Able to multi-task and handle a wide spectrum of responsibilities.
• Good interpersonal skills and strong analytical skills.
• Open to candidates with no prior experience will be considered
