Job description
Role Summary

The incumbent will be responsible to design, implement, and optimize industrial processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

Role Responsibilities

1. Process Optimization & Productivity Improvement

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes (man, machine, layout), product cycle time and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
  • Develop and implement process control strategies to reduce waste and improve productivity.

2. Production Support

  • Provide technical support to production teams to resolve process-related issues.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Oversee production scheduling that optimizes labour and machine resources to meet company and customer objectives
  • Work closely with production teams and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

3. Quality Assurance

  • Work closely with Quality Engineer to review and improve on critical parameter of each process to comply with internal quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Support audits and documentation for ISO or other certifications.

4. Machine, Equipment & Tooling

  • Assist in the selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Work with suppliers to evaluate new technologies for productivity improvements.

5. New Product

  • Support in new product development cycle (product trial stage, sourcing for new materials, product assembly line and equipment/tooling setup)

6. Documentation & Training

  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Train operators and technicians on new product, processes and equipment.

7. Safety

  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure all processes adhere to safety standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments and implement engineering controls to mitigate hazards.

8. Others

  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Role Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Possess good analytical skills and problem-solving.
  • Advanced PC skills (MS office)
  • Experience in manufacturing & metalworking environment, Lean Manufacturing, SAP, CAD & administrative software is advantageous.
